Through retelling the great stories from six exploring expeditions during the Antarctic Heroic Age, this book [When Your Life Depends on It by Brad Borkan and David Hirzel] wonderfully highlights the vast range of challenging decisions that faced Antarctic explorers during the early 20th century.
In so doing, the authors vividly explain how the ways explorers faced these challenges in their own time continue to provide important lessons for us today, a century later.
